Can you tell us about the quote conversion service which PCC offers law firms in the UK?

  • We carry out a welcome call to the client within 24-hours
  • As the sales team at PCC are legally trained, they go through the specific requirements of the client and highlight key factors such as leasehold transaction/ short leases/ share of freeholds; this way we are able to manage their expectations.
  • We also run through the AML documentation.

And how does this tie into the onboarding service offered by PCC?

Once a client has agreed to instruct the law firm during the quote conversion service, we then onboard the client between 24 to 48 hours and in that time, we make sure the file is properly prepared for the lawyer.  This allows consistency in the service, and confidence that there is one point of call during this crucial stage to ensure important information is carried through to the fee earner.

If during this stage we consider an element of the transaction that may cause some concern we shall mark the file accordingly, raising this with the fee earner. We also liaise with the Estate Agents.

We act as a conduit between the client and the fee earner up until the point where the fee earner commences their legal work.

Can the quote conversion service and onboarding service be provided separately or does the law firm take both services together?

They are both standalone services and can be taken separately however, there are benefits of outsourcing both at the same time.

As part of the onboarding service there is a significant amount of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) work to be conducted by PCC – how does your company handle this important workload?

PCC’s consultants are property lawyers themselves or are trained in legal sales therefore we are fully aware of all the anti-money laundering requirements. Prior to offering this service we ensure that we adopt the same stringent processes and procedures of the law firm so that there is fluidity in the process. PCC acts as an extension to the firm rather than an independent company, making sure our delivery of service does not compromise the firm in anyway.
